Can you lie on your resume?
A recent graduate asked me this question and there’s no right or wrong answer because for a fresh graduate, they might be super, super desperate for a job and they might be tempted to do so.
But before you add lies to your resume, I want you to think about this tying yourself down to a career path without keeping yourself open to exploration.
What if you add something that is super relevant now, but you might not be interested in it to five or ten years down the line?
So it is more important to let your would be manager or your recruiter know that that you don’t have relevant experience, but you are open to learn. And that is the biggest quality that a lot of recruiters and recruiting managers are looking for these days.
Are you open and willing to learn new skills?
