We often get so caught up in pumping efforts to achieve something, that we forget to track how much we’re putting in. The hours, the energy, the peace of mind, the lost opportunities. When we finally succeed, we tell ourselves that all that hard work was worth it. Was it though?
Next time, do yourself a favor and track your efforts vs results.
First, why care about poor results? Eliminate all tasks in these categories.
Next, this is my go-to: tasks that yield high results, with low effort. Tasks that align with your strengths, and harness your drive. You achieve extraordinary results that amaze everyone around you.
Finally, this area is tricky. Think twice about high-result, high-effort tasks. Are you sure you can’t move them into the low-effort category?
CONCLUSION
Remember – what ultimately matters is whether you get epic shit done. Like Yoda said: Do or don’t. There’s no try.
