Performing at Your Peak in Non-Ideal Situations

I was recently asked by a viewer – “What if I am driven, authentic, and in flow while solving a problem at work… but I’m still not able to solve it?”
Well, being in flow aids in the peak performance of HUMANS, not business outcomes – because business outcomes depend on a lot of external variables. So if you were problem solving and you know you were in flow, then you performed at your peak. You know you gave it your all.
But if the problem still persists, external intervention might be needed. It could be a process change, or new training, or maybe team collaboration.
Now I know, humans are not machines but I like comparing them to, say, electric vehicles.
Now even though these are known to drain their charge when driving uphill or when parked in cold climate, doesn’t mean these machines don’t perform at their peak making the most of the given conditions.
