Three Steps to Exercise Your Creativity

I’m not the most creative person but I have consistently produced videos THRICE a week for the last SIX months. That takes some creativity. To keep it up, I use a three-step method that a friend calls the ‘skin-care routine of creativity’! 

Step 1: Cleansing 

Be selective about what you feed your mind, so cleanse it of useless noise. I turn off my phone, lock myself in my office, and play ASMR nature sounds.

2: Toning

Focus your mind on a single idea, refine and tighten it. This will remove any last traces of noise helping you enter a flow state.

3: Moisturizing

Shield your idea from external influence. Lock in your drive. This will prime your mind to APPLY your idea – leading to CREATION.
