LinkedIn has rated creativity as a top work skill for several years. But many employees thinkit’s not easy. They think creativity is something only artists and writers have naturally.
No. Employees like you and I NEED to be creative when faced with challenging tasks. And yes, anyone can be creative by simply building the skill over time.
But building this skill is difficult for many people because we live in an “input culture”. We are always taking in massive amounts of data, most of it useless: With 24-hour news, endless social-media posts, podcasts, and so on, many of us spend so much time CONSUMING that we don’t have the time, space, or energy to CREATE.
