Here’s why this famous productivity technique wont work for you.
The pomodoro technique tells you to break up your work into small chunks, usually 25 minutes followed by 5 minutes breaks. This method is great if you have short attention span because it forces you to stay on task for at least 25 minutes.
But if you want to get DEEP WORK done, like research, analysis, brainstorming, or strategizing, which need longer focus times, the pomodoro technique will stop you from getting into a FLOW STATE, which is where you’re the most productive and creative.
So use pomodoro for simple and unimportant tasks. But when you’re doing deep work, just go with the flow.
