Cut Down the ‘10000 Hours’ to Mastery

Apparently, it takes 10000 hours to master a skill. I shared the two flaws in this idea in my last video. Now, let’s talk about how to cut down these 10,000 hours drastically!

First, remember that the quantity of practice hours doesn’t matter a damn. It’s the quality of those hours that counts.

Second, our society hypes up delayed gratification – work hard, hustle, struggle, burn out NOW for rewards LATER.

BUT – when you are driven to do something close to your heart – you enjoy every hour that you put into it. Deep, powerful, and energizing experiences, lead you into a Flow state or as I like to call it – an effortless state and help you master a skill much MUCH faster.

So toss out the 10000 hour rule. Get a kick out of instant gratification and you’ll become the fastest master at your skill… Win-Win.
